Fortified Snowman.

I'm surprised. At my loss for words and my quick wall built. I'm shocked at the agility of my nebulous mind to protect me from a hurting fall. I'm numbed by the cool aloofness of my age-old lover.

-----

If he was meant to love me all the time, then why does he do it in painful installments? I wish he would wake up and realize that life and love are ongoing. They seldom stop to pick up the lonely hearts. And we got lucky. Very lucky.

-----

When the door is left ajar, one expects the wind to break right through. But even the sun doesn't blaze down. Only frozen stillness seeps in.

-----

Tell me you are lonely. I need my companion of sorts. Tell me you are frightened. I need another whisper. Tell me you need some love. I've got mine to pour.

-----

So she stood in hanging splinters of unsurity. Trying to piece her face together in his broken glass. Can she find it at all??

-----

Together and so alone. Close with such little time. Tell me where the saga ends, please. I need to get my relief.

Wanting but withholding. Desperate yet untrusting. Please let me fall. I need to step out of this box.

Pulling and pushing. Removing and then rewinding. Pray, bring me to your consciousness. I need you and you've lost yourself.
