Triple Counterpoint

Three lines
Meet and
Then
Divide

Three lines
Love and
Had
Lost

Three lines
Live and
Don't
Survive

Three lines
Joined and
Now
Cannot

Three lines
Formed and
Are
Splitting

Three lines
Falter
When reduced
To two.

I like this poem's simplicity. Eerily simple and sad.

Very different. Like the way you have pulled this one together. It really is a triple counterpoint!

Ariel - Long time. It's nice to have you around. :)
I'm glad you like this..and appreciate the elements of simplicity and sadness.

.:A:. - August, you have made me grin. You think the attempts are successful now?

enembius - I ponder over the number 3 mostly in familial relationships..but now that you mention it, it does occur often and always.

enembius - Very true. I've begun to notice this ever since I read your comment. Seldom are there twos or fours..there are mostly odd numbers working at all times.

Mostly, like you've said, threes. I wonder why.

harlem style - :) Thank you..and welcome here.

.:A:. - I'm glad you think so. :) I suppose, it only required some time off and then back in!
