i am but the
grain of sand
that glows to the glory
of a sunrise and
warms at the promise of
quiet sunsets.
i am but the
drop of water
that mingles and frolicks,
always praying, always knowing
that the day
of Re-joining shall
come.
i am but the
speck of time
caught loosely in
colosal space,
slipping, morphing
(still sturdy)
in the
wilderness of
change.
i was but the
breath of life
living too much,
feeling too little -
knowing too quickly,
and
acting just right.

This one is simply beautiful,
"i am but the
grain of sand
that glows to the glory
of a sunrise and
warms at the promise of
quiet sunsets."
This one speaks of realization very well.
"i was but the
breath of life
living too much,
feeling too little -
knowing too quickly,
and
acting just right."
Interesting how you say (still sturdy). I feel discombobulated (sp?) during this stanza. However, it still seems to fit. Maybe we are safe and sturdy while we float in a sense of chaos. Who knows?
you have got your poetry writing skills down, girl. excellent writing, like i always say.
Heyy, that was well written. :)
Err.... it's becoming a bit too self-conscious. A bit to clever, just too "right" for it to have the ring of truth. Sorry about that.
i love the first stanza best - the sand grain. i want to be on a beach right now... umm, or a construction site! ;-)
yep, yep - am back, too. ;-)
splendid
.:A:. - Thanks.
stan laurel - Not really chaos as much as knowing oneself well enough despite where we float. To be comfortable in the unstructured.
