Model!!

I've never thought I had a very pretty face. I can make it look pretty at times, but honestly I doubt it's striking. I've a nose that doesn't belong to this face, I've got slightly chubby cheeks (however thin I may get), I've got big ears and my eyebrows are too perfectly shaped. Coming to my body..haha. I'm either too thin or always a few pounds extra. As for now? My tight arse is not so tight anymore, my breasts precede me and I know for a fact that I'm atleast 5 kilos overweight. I've been working out so maybe you can knock down a kilo or two and tighten my arse a bit. That's about it.

Now you can understand my sheer surprise when a professional photographer wanted me to model for her. That these photos will be put up in a hospital is beside the point, okay? I first thought she wanted me because I was brown-skinned and looked quite like a regular Asian from the sub-continent. I asked her that, actually. What have I got to lose except those extra kilos, right? She laughed for a few seconds and told me that she liked the way I look. Oh my god. What is this woman talking?! Somebody stop her!! I must've had a flabbergasted look written all over my face and my body must've frozen stiff because she looked at me for a couple of seconds and reiterated that she liked how I looked like as if that needs to sink into me. Photogenic, she said. I'm seriously telling you, somebody should've shut her up and taken her to the pretty Asian girl with highlights in her hair! I mean, what's wrong with the woman!?! She's going on and on about photogenic!? Ahhhhh!!!

I, kindly, declined. I told her how I honestly do not think I am photogenic, I'm not pretty and I've got an imperfect body. She insisted. Took my number and email id. She mailed me since the past week. She mailed me her website address. Real serious photography there. She worked with the big guys in London. She started throwing in the perks. She's going to teach me photography. She's taking extra pictures of whatever I want. She's going to send me pictures of me so I can keep them (hell, no). So I'm meeting her in a couple of hours to 'model' for her.

While this horrific incident took place, there was one more awaiting me. I walked to Uni last week looking all nerdy. I have these pointy, large, red-colored DKNY (I need to show off!) glasses which make me look like a first class nerd. And when I'm studying I couldn't care less about what am I wearing. While I was walking through the corridor down to the library this man suddenly stopped me. What're happening to the British manners and politeness? Aren't girls allowed to walk down corridors to libraries anymore??? He smiled and asked me whether I'd like to pose for the PG prospectus. Okay. This is freaky. Two people in the span of a week?! Is the world conspiring against me?? Why Why Why!! I was starting to get annoyed when he said the right words, 'You'll get a 10 quid book voucher for it'. Aha. Books. I like the sound of getting myself a free book to read. Yippeee!!!

There're some benefits to looking imperfect. Oh yes, I didn't mention this in the beginning, did I? It is the most important physical feature about me. I'm 4 feet 11 inches short. I doubt anyone can ever see me in the first place, let alone consider me pretty! And one more thing. Beauty is in the hands of the photographer. If this woman doesn't make me look pretty, I will clobber her!

SwB - *grin* what do you know! Our appointment's been postponed ever since! Bad weather.

Grey Shades - Ha. I got lucky. Although, I've a strong suspicion she couldn't believe that such a short person can have such big boobs and that's why wants to take pics!!!

:-) - Sweetie, I betcha I can get you a special edition of those ;) But what do I get in return? You in swimming trunks!?

Phoenix Rises - LOL! You psychologist. Analysing everything and killing my subconscious joy. Nah. I thought it was amusing how all these events panned out. And no, I'm rather shy (which is a hard thing to believe, I know) so I don't know how to handle compliments.

markiv - I think the people here are just desperate for natural Asians, I suspect.

the mocking spirit - Babe. You'll bloody drain me of all possible treats, eh? :) And yeah, I think I might get spoilt with all this attention!

transience - Ah. You see now, I've got major issues with this whole..good looking stuff. I blame it on the boyfriends!!

kewl... way to go!

though i've been reading you for a long time now and I know nothing about that photographer, i'd still believe the photographer when she says you are photogenic, coz as u explained she definitely has an eye for photography.

and btw, though i donno how pretty n photogenic u actually look, i've always admired your writing style. and this post again emphasizes that - though you have in all your might tried to prove that you are far away from being called pretty, the over all post conveys quiet the opposite - making everyone believe that despite all those imperfections you are pretty and (can i say that?) Cute ;-)

Or as phoenix talked about gaining indirect compliments very smartly :)
