don't give me your
vain talk
about political opinions
and
wanting to save the world,
i know them
like
the one hundred
streams of wind.
don't talk to me
of simplicity and sublimity
for they are
mere words which you can
garland yourself with
hoping that words alone will
redeem
you.

The one hundred streams of wind. What a beautiful image. I, too, do not like forced political agenda/opinions. Most of the time I ignore them because I do not have the energy to combat with a different opinion.
PS: I hope you were not offended by my recent post. It is just thought provoking.
How timely and apt is your post to our current situation here.
Sigh.
Ship-wrecked , empty vessels!

stan laurel - I'm not too political. Perhaps that'll explain why I don't care much for any such talk. Then again, I studied Political Science. So I know the shit that people sometimes talk.
Free Spirit - :) And then we have people who think like you.
melon collie - *grin* Apt. Welcome here and I hope that you'll keep visiting. :)
Awesome!
I love the lines: "i know them like the one hundred streams of wind." So evocative. I wish I had written that!
I have very often had the exact thought you express in the second stanza. Describing "simplicity and sublimity" as "mere words which you can garland yourself with" is pure brilliance! Thanks for describing in exacting terms a feeling I have had but have never completely crystalized in this elegant manner.
Bravo!
Also, I have a similar piece called "Noble" which I will put up at my site at some point. Feel free to drop in and say hello at your convenience.
Take care!
Also, I have only recently come across your blog from the links of others.
But, after looking back through some of your past posts, I have to say that I am quite struck by depth and subtle intricacy of many of your poems.
Therefore, I am going to blogroll you at my site, so that others might find their way here, too.
Feel free to stop by at your convenience and leave a post if anything strikes you.
