Cobweb

There are tiny
Knots,
Slender loops
And
Taut strings drawn
Across time.

Caught in the net
Are memories,
A hint of love
And a strange
Concoction of emotions.

I slip and
Slide through the
Complex moods this
Cobweb creates.

It holds me
Entranced,
It traps me
In the sticky thread
Of bittersweet
Thoughts.

I grab onto the
Wires, losing balance
In the gashes
It constructed:
Of hope
Of fear.

This cobweb has at once
Ensnared me
And set me free.

At once holds me
And
Loosens its threatening
Grip.
