Pull at my
Heart Strings
All you want,
You'll still end up
Finding only my
Foolishly faithful
Love
Bleeding.

---

Time,
My naughty
Friend,
Reminds me.

Memory,
Its tiresome
Cousin,
Slays me.

---

The days
Gently bow into
The comforting
Sepia of autumn:
The energy of
Flighty spring
Has suddenly
Settled down
To feed on autumn's
Wisdom - a prelude
To a difficult
Winter.

---

I can feel a
Fresh breath of
Patience
Rest its tired
Head on my shoulder,
'But how long
Does this go on?'

---

I wish I can give
In
If I knew any more
Novel
Ways to do it.

---

The sting of tears
On seeing you after
So long.

The mad happiness
Enveloping my excited
Heart.

The steady look
Of our faded love
Sneaking a peak through
The occassional
Touch.

The taste of yet
Another hard, but not tearful
Bye.

The consequences of a
Love that still lives:
This.

---

Cajoling myself
To sleep at night,
Hugging myself
Thinking of this
Quietness,
Breathing deep when
Anger transpires,
Smiling through
A shared torture.

Sad: yes; lonesome: yes; but this is very well written. I really like how you break up each thought into its own stanza. It makes for a very powerful read so as not to last too long at any one part.
